General info before coming to Italy
Depending on your citizenship, you may need to obtain a visa for coming to Italy.
Participants coming from EU nations and citizens of USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, do not need visas to enter Italy.
Most NON-EU citizens from other countries will need a visa and, sometimes, either a declaration or a permit of stay to formalize their visit in Italy.
Visit the website www.esteri.it/visti/index_eng.asp in order to find out if it is the case and, consequently, get prepared to collect the necessary documents in due time for the application to the Italian Diplomatic and Consular Representations in your country of residence.
The application for visa must be done at the Italian Consulate or Embassy in your country of origin or where you have permanent residence, at least 3 months prior to the congress. It is the delegate’s responsibility to investigate the visa requirements for Italy and to apply for a visa, if necessary. The conference organisers and/or the Organising Secretariat will not directly contact embassies and consulates on behalf of visa applicants.
